Warning: USPTO Cracking Down on Fake Trademark Filings

March 10, 2025

Hello Reader,

I want to share an important warning about trademark mass filing companies and why using them could put your trademark at risk. The U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) recently announced that they may cancel more than 40,000 trademarks because they were filed using fake or misleading information.

Here’s what’s happening:

  • Some companies pretend to be real trademark attorneys when they’re not.
  • They use fake names, fake signatures, and false information to file trademarks.
  • The USPTO discovered this fraud and is now canceling these trademarks.

If you used one of these companies, your trademark could be at risk, even if it was already approved. You can read more about it in this article:

How to Protect Your Trademark:

Work with a real trademark attorney – Someone licensed and experienced.
Be careful with companies promising fast and cheap trademark filings – If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Check who is filing your trademark – Make sure it’s a trusted professional.

Losing a trademark can be costly and frustrating. If you have any concerns about your trademark or need help securing your brand the right way, feel free to reach out.

P.S. Even if your trademark was filed correctly, it’s a good idea to double-check its status. The USPTO is getting stricter, and you don’t want any surprises down the road. Let me know if you’d like me to take a look!
